Indianapolis � The Indiana Health Care Services Corporation (IHCS), the for-profit division of the Indiana Health Care Association (IHCA), the State�s largest trade association and advocate representing proprietary, not-for-profit and hospital-based nursing home and assisted living communities, recently signed a number of agreements to improve and expand access for health care providers to high quality products and services.

�These partnerships allow IHCA to bring cost savings solutions to our members, who serve the vast majority of low income Medicaid patients,� said Steve Smith, President of IHCA.

The agreements are part of the IHCS �Solutions� portfolio which is designed to reduce operating costs for health care providers in order to maximize the funds available for patient care.

�The present economic climate has made our industry acutely aware that it is critical to consistently seek reductions in operation expense,� said J Hopkins, Executive Director of the Indiana Health Care Services Corporation. �Food, medical supplies, pharmaceuticals and insurance are significant expenditures for health care providers and the �Solutions� portfolio was assembled to reduce the financial burden of these necessary business lines.�
