The real estate market in the Montgomery County area is losing one of its players, but it's not really going away.

The merger of Creekside Realty with Carpenter Realtors was announced today by Susan Blandford, Regional Manager with Carpenter Realtors and Creekside Realty Broker/Owner, Sally Chamness. The merger will combine Creekside Realty with the Crawfordsville branch of Carpenter Realtors.

The merger will be official on Dec. 29.

The offices will remain at Carpenter Realtors, located at 1801 Lafayette Rd. Sally Chamness, the current owner of Creekside Realtors Inc., will be Managing Broker of the new office. She began Creekside Realtors Inc. four years ago.

"It's basically a chance to have a bigger share of the local market," Chamness, a lifelong resident of Montgomery County, said.
