Hamilton County. What's hot/not, where's hot/ not, how's supply, demand, prices, rents, the mood? Thanks.
No real specifics regarding supply and demand for you but the real estate market there is not doing well. Cost of living is low but the title company I work for just closed their Indianapolis location because the market is so bad.

Does anyone know the trend for the real estate market for Indianapolis, IN?
Jun 03, 2006 by mistyx25 | Posted in Renting & Real Estate
I am interested in real estate investment, but have no background. I am looking for some areas that are up and coming. Places to buy homes that will appreciate as the neighborhood changes. It appears the dynamics of the city are changing, but I do not know enough to really make an educated purchase.

Honestly, unless you have a lot of money to invest into real estate in Indy, it's not worth even looking! You might even be better off looking into Carmel, Noblesville, and Fishers. All just North of Indianapolis. Good Luck!!!

Selling a $1M home? Better be patient - Indianapolis Star
15.01.09
A lifestyle change caused her to put it on the market. The house has had 13 showings and two open houses, and its price has been reduced from $1.25 million to just under $1.1 million. But Fortino is still waiting for a buyer. "It's got tons of fun little features that make it different from your normal house," Fortino said. "It just needs the right family." Though real estate is struggling nationally, most sectors of the Fishers market seem to be bucking that trend. Homes priced under $300,000 have seen less than a 1 percent price drop annually since 2006, and they seem to be selling at a healthy pace, said Rachel Quade, a Realtor in F.C. Tucker's Northeast office. But the area's high-priced homes are tough to sell, according to Quade. Quade used information from a Metropolitan Indianapolis Board of Realtors database to track real estate sales data for Delaware and Fall Creek townships. Homes listed at more than $1 million have taken price cuts of up to 25 percent off the initial asking price. There are 33 homes in that price range on the market now, which means that it could take more than three years for all of them to sell based on monthly sales averages.
